The most effective ways to rejuvenate your skin

Written by admin

Looking at our old photos and seeing how carefree and young we all were makes us wish someone would find the fountain of youth and allow us to drink from it until we look young again. Our hair was thicker and had no grey in it, our bodies were strong and tall, and our skin was glowing without applying anything to it. But, as we aged, we learned the importance of keeping some of that youthful glow and how difficult it is to do it. Luckily, there are some great and effective ways to rejuvenate your skin and look years younger.

Feed your skin

While having oily skin is a nightmare of its own, having dry skin means you will age much faster. This is the reason why you should ‘feed’ your skin with creams and oils, and the best oils are the ones you can find in nature. Avocado is a wonderful fruit, rich in oil, which does wonders for your body, hair, and skin. Make an easy avocado and honey mask which will soothe and hydrate your skin; all you need is half of an avocado, ¼ cup of uncooked oatmeal, tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, two spoons of honey, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Leave the mask on for twenty minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Skin tightening techniques

Not only does our skin lose collagen and oils, it starts sagging as a result. You can massage your face gently and do exercises every day which will tighten the muscles on your face, but if you want more effective results you should try skin tightening machine. This is a non-invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency to stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen. The machine can be used on more than your face – you can tighten your tummy, under chin, and even on your bottom. There are no needles, scalpels or recovery time needed afterwards, and the results last for more than five months.

Dermal fillers

If you are not afraid of needles but would still like to keep things as little invasive as possible, then dermal fillers are a perfect solution for you. These are either naturally-derived or synthetic materials which are injected directly into your skin to ‘plump it up’ a bit. Dermal fillers are usually injected in the lips, and depending on the type of filler you choose, the effects can last from six months to two years.

For those who want visible results which last long, Botox is the answer. You can choose the area on your face which you want to treat and the wrinkles will disappear as if by magic. Your muscles will be ‘frozen’ and you will not have wrinkles at all. However, if you overdo it you can have some side effects: lowered lids or permanently surprised look. Talk to your doctor and agree on a natural expression which will not look ‘artificial’ on your face.

While it may not be possible to turn back time and go back to our early twenties, this does not mean that we should spend our days lamenting over lost youth. Rejuvenating your skin has never been this easy and effective, and if you decide to try some of these methods, you will be happy with the results.
